Our Veterinarian & Owner
Dr. Brandi Hilton, DVM – Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Hilton is a proud native of the Chattahoochee Valley and grew up in Phenix City, AL. She earned her B.S. in Microbiology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. With more than 20 years of experience as a small animal veterinarian in Columbus, GA, Dr. Hilton has fulfilled her dream of owning a veterinary hospital and serving her community.
Beyond her professional expertise, she is deeply connected to the region through her family and pets—including two Golden Retrievers, two cats, a pig, and a flock of chickens. In her free time, Dr. Hilton enjoys cheering on her children at sporting events, exercising, and spending time with loved ones.

Dr. Jennifer Tolbert, DVM
Dr. Jennifer Tolbert is a native of Columbus, Georgia, and attended Columbus State University for her undergraduate studies. She then attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with her DVM degree. Her interests include hospice/palliative care, including end of life care. She is passionate about helping families at the end of their pets’ lives, especially in the comfort of their own home.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and family including her dog Kirby (go Dawgs!!).
Our Veterinary Team
Brooke Davidson – Office Manager
Brooke grew up in Phenix City, AL, and is a graduate of Auburn University with a B.A. in Psychology. She is married to Doug and has four wonderful children (Paige, Morgan, Anna Grace, and Blake), along with a bonus son (Aidan). She is BeBe to her grandchildren, Easton and Everly. Brooke has over 20 years of experience in the medical field.
In her free time, Brooke loves spending time with family and friends, watching college football, “War Eagle”, and shopping. Brooke is also the sister of Dr. Hilton.
Veterinary Assistants & Technicians
Taylor Haynes – Veterinary Assistant
Originally from Tallahassee, FL, Taylor is both a devoted mother and a compassionate caregiver to her pets, including three dogs and a rabbit. She loves family adventures and supporting our patients each day.
Alyssa Dyer – Veterinary Assistant
Alyssa lives in Phenix City, AL, and is currently studying pre-veterinary medicine with the goal of becoming a veterinarian. She enjoys hands-on learning at VETsmart, as well as time outdoors with family and friends.

Sierra Taylor – Receptionist
Sierra is a native of the Chattahoochee Valley and grew up in Phenix City, AL. She has a strong passion for animals and enjoys caring for them both at work and at home. She is a proud pet parent of four animals: two dogs, Lola and Leah, and two cats, Harlow and Rhia. She loves to travel and has lived in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.
In her free time, Sierra enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and her animals, as well as camping and hiking.
Kennel Staff
Makenzie Thompson – Kennel Assistant
Makenzie grew up in Columbus, GA, and loves providing daily care for patients. At home, she enjoys time with her fiancé and their two German Shepherds.
Jackson Gallops – Kennel Assistant
Jackson balances his role at VETsmart with his studies in Health Science at Columbus State University. He enjoys traveling, golfing, and caring for the pets entrusted to him at the clinic.
